25/26 Residential Burn Permit - OPEN

PERMIT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Expired as of 4/30/26.
2. The Permittee must not burn if winds are strong enough that burning would be considered unsafe. Example: keeps leaves in motion.
3. The fire shall be: (A) attended at all times by at least one prudent and responsible adult that is at least 18 years of age. (B) Clearing to bare dirt within 30 feet in any direction from the burn pile is required. , The burn pile can be no larger than 4 feet wide, 4 feet long and 4 feet in height
4. This permit does not relieve the permittee of any duty to use reasonable and ordinary care to prevent damage to property of others or injury to persons as prescribed by law and only applies to yard trimmings, no other materials may be included in the burn, including commercially treated/purchased wood that is not naitive from the property.
5. Yard trimmings must be ignited no later than 11:30 AM, and must have no active flame after 5:00 PM .
6. This permit is void during periods when burning is prohibited by state law, ordinance, or proclamation of public officers.
7. This permit is valid only on those days which are not prohibited by the State Air Resources Board pursuant to Section 41855 of Health and Safety Code or by the local air pollution control district. https://www.ysaqmd.org/
8. Before burning call (707) 784-7035 after 10am to ensure it is an approved burn day, if it is a burn day press option 1 to be connected with person to give your burn permit number. If it is not a burn day you may end the call.
9. This permit can be revoked at any time.
10. The permit holder must be the legal representative or legally control the address of the burn site.
11. The permit holder agrees to comply with the terms of this permit.
12. If you choose to purchase a permit online, a convenience fee will be added.

VIOLATIONS OF ANY BURNING PERMIT TERMS ARE A VIOLATION OF
STATE LAWS AND RENDERS THE PERMIT NULL AND VOID
