VFPD Updates is a text message and Web
service that seeks to offer timely notification of
newsworthy Fire Department incidents throughout the
Vacaville Fire Protection District. Instructions for
receiving messages via a mobile device appear below.
VFPD Updates is for casual public
interest, and does *NOT* constitute an official warning or
advisory system. Messages are *NOT* official instructions,
permission or encouragement to take action. There is no
guarantee as to the frequency or timeliness of postings.
Most information will develop over time, and we strongly
discourage speculation.
VFPD Updates include: Fire Station
'district', type of incident, a tentative incident address
and a brief narrative.
IMPORTANT:
There may be a high volume of
messages (and multiple updates of key details) for the benefit
of news media using this system. Those receiving text alerts
